I was born and raised in a modest family, in a small town outside Havana where fashion was practically non-existent. Since very young I felt a great attraction for art, design, fashion and aesthetics in general.

After graduating on English Language and Literature at the University of Havana, I started my career in the tourism industry at the Meliá Cohiba Hotel in Havana, where I worked for 18 years. During much of this time, I also work as Representative of The – Merger Art Collaboration Group.

That proximity to the art world resuscitated the childhood dream of working on fashion, providing beauty to everyone. I started designing jewelry as a hobby in 2012. That former project has recently become in the brand SBorges Design.

SBorges has the purpose to create a jewel for each person and each occasion. We have the right jewel or accessory for you, no matter your sex, your age, your biotype, your profession or your budget. By the combination of the indigenous and traditional jewelry with more "trendy" and modern styles, we seek to insert Cuban fashion into the current trends of the "International Fashion Mainstream".

With a limited production, our designs are sold in very short editions or unique pieces. In Havana you can find us in some art galleries placed at the Meliá Cohiba Hotel, Central Park hotel, Terminal 3 of José Martí International Airport and Víctor Manuel Art Gallery at the Cathedral Plaza. You can also find us at "The Gallery on Greene" in Key West, Florida.

Among the short-term projects, SBorges intends to launch very soon the collection "Joyarte" with jewels and accessories inspired on art pieces. In the long term… who knows? Fashion has no limits...
